For this
tour, an open and flexible mind is
essential to deal with the detours,
delays and other inconveniences
encountered in developing countries.
Visas are
required by all nationalities for
Mozambique, and by some for Malawi and
Zambia; these are the client's
responsibility.
Seasonal
precautions against malaria are
advisable and are locally obtainable.
A small
daypack is advisable for the hike on
Mulanje.
The
recommended currency for this tour is
the US Dollar, in small denominations.

1: NAIROBI |
|
Fly into
Nairobi and
transfer to
our Hotel in
the heart of
this
bustling
city. For
clients
arriving
early, there
are a
variety of
optional
tours and
excursions
on offer -
these can be
arranged on
arrival at
the Hotel.
At 18h00 we
will conduct
a pre-tour
briefing
before
enjoying an
own expense
dinner at a
local

DAY 2 - 3: MASAI
MARA GAME
RESERVE B

Leaving the
city behind
us, we
travel south
to the Masai
Mara game
reserve,
famed for
its annual
Wildebeest
migration
and once
home to the
“Lion Man”,
George
Adamson.
We will camp
in a
well-located
site,
enabling us
to explore
the plains
of this
unique park
and its
magnificent
wildlife
extensively. |

DAY 4 -
5: LAKE
NAIVASHA AND
NAKURU NAT.

Leaving the
Masai Mara,
we continue
north to the
impressive
natural
Lakes of
Naivasha and
Nakuru. We
will camp
for two
nights and
will explore
the area
thoroughly
enjoying the
amazing
scenery and
wealth of
both
birdlife and
wildlife.
This area is
possibly one
of the best
for viewing
the huge
flocks of
pink
Flamingo
attracted to
the shallow
waters. |

DAY 6: LAKE
VICTORIA B

|
Next, we
descend to
the shores
of Africa’s
largest
lake, Lake
Victoria.
This Lake
forms part
of the Great
Rift Valley
and provides
a livelihood
for the many
locals that
fish its
waters.
Here we will
spend time
relaxing,
exploring
the markets,
and trading
with the
local
fishermen.
Dinner
tonight will
be own
expense at a
local
restaurant.
Camp the
night at the
waters edge. |

DAY 7:
SERENGETI B

|
Today we
enter what
is arguably
Tanzania’s
most
acclaimed
wildlife
sanctuary,
the
Serengeti
National
Park. This
Park with
its huge
concentrations
of plains
game,
numerous
predators
and prolific
birdlife all
resident on
the
seemingly
endless
grass and
acacia
covered
plains
epitomizes
Africa’s
game parks.
We will
cross the
Park west to
east and
will spend a
night at the
active
Seronera
campsite. |

DAY
8: SERENGETI B

After an
extensive
game drive
we enter the
Ngorengoro
Conservation
area where
we witness
the
spectacle of
the Masai
tribal
people
herding
their cattle
amongst the
wildlife,
still living
their
customary
way as they
have for
centuries.
We camp at
the renowned
Simba camp
on the edge
of the
crater and
enjoy the
spectacular
views. |

DAY 9: NGORONGORO

|
At first
light we
make the
daring
descent into
the crater
in our
smaller 4x4
safari
vehicles and
here we
explore this
marvel of
nature with
its shear
walls and
fertile
plains. With
the
possibility
to view
almost all
of Africa’s
mammals,
including
the rare
Black Rhino
at close
range in
open plains,
this has to
be the
finest game
viewing
available.
Returning to
Simba camp,
we will
enjoy lunch
before
exiting the
park and
continuing
to our camp
on the lip
of the
escarpment. |

DAY
10: ENDULENI
VILLAGE B

After
enjoying the
extensive
views of
Lake Manyara,
we head
north into
the rural
hinterland
to
experience
the
traditional
Masai way of
life. We
will camp
literally
amongst the
indigenous
people and
will be able
to witness
their way of
life and to
explore the
village on
foot.

DAY 11: ARUSHA

|
After an
early start
we make our
way back to
Arusha, the
town at the
foothill of
the
beautiful
Mount Meru.
Here we will
spend the
afternoon
exploring
this lively
town and its
local
markets.
Tonight we
will enjoy
an own
expense meal
at a local
restaurant. |

DAY
12: TRANSFER
TO NAIROBI

|
After
breakfast
clients will
be taken to
the shuttle
terminal
where they
will catch
the transfer
to Nairobi.
This road
travels
through some
spectacular
scenery and
on a clear
day offers
stunning
views of the
mighty Mt.
Kilimanjaro,
Africa’s
highest
mountain. En
– route to
the Nairobi
city, the
transfer
will pass
via the
airport to
facilitate
clients who
are flying
out today.
Clients
staying on
in Nairobi
or
continuing
their
travels will
be taken
into the
city center
