On receipt of this booking form, we will secure your reservation. Confirmation, will be done on receipt of a 10% deposit.

BOOKING CONDITIONS:

1. THE CONTRACT

The role of African Safari Shop  hereafter called the Company , is to manufacture tours and itineraries to fit the requirements of our customers, in doing so, we may use independent suppliers for the provision of selected services. Whatever the case, we accept responsibility for the proper performance of your contract with us subject to the following conditions.

2. LIABILITY

We accept responsibility, should the services which we are contractually obliged to provide prove deficient or not of a reasonable standard including where this is due to acts and defaults of our employees, agents, suppliers and sub contractors.

We accept responsibility should you or any member of your clients party suffer death, injury or illness as a result of any failure to perform or improper performance of any part of our contract with you by our employees, agents, suppliers and sub contractors providing the were at the time acting within the course of their employment except where the failure to perform or improper performance was due to :

Their own acts or omissions

Those of a third party not connected with the provision of your arrangement and which were unforeseeable and unavoidable.

Any event which either the Company or the supplier of the services could not have foreseen or forestalled even with due care.

It is a condition of liability that we receive any claim in writing within 28 days of the end of our services. Where any payment is made, that you will assign to the Company or our insurers any right you may have to pursue any third parties in relation to the claim and provide us with your full co-operation.

In respect of air, sea and rail carriers, land vehicle and hotel keepers our liability is in all cases limited as if we were carriers/ hoteliers within the appropriate international conventions. Furthermore, all transport is provided subject to the relevant carrier’s conditions of carriage, some of which may limit or exclude their liability to you, often in accordance with international conventions.

Please note, our responsibilities and obligations apply only in respect of those services which we agree to arrange or provide on your behalf. We can not accept any liability for any services which you arrange on your own.

3. COMPLAINTS

Should a problem occur, please advise both the Company and the supplier of the service in question immediately as most problems are resolved most easily on the spot.  Should you remain dissatisfied, please write to us setting out the complaint in detail within 28 days of the end of our services under the contract.  We cannot accept responsibility for any complaints which are not notified entirely in accordance with this clause.

 4. MAKING YOUR BOOKING

When you make a booking you must complete a booking form, accepting on behalf of all the members of your party the terms of these booking conditions. A non-refundable deposit of 20% per person of the total tour fare is payable on booking. All persons named on the Booking form shall be referred to collectively as "the Client" or "Clients". No contract shall exist between the Company and the Client until the prescribed deposit has been paid and the Client’s booking has been confirmed by the Company. The deposit will be refunded should the Company not be able to accommodate the Client on the requested tour.

5. PAYMENT

 The full amount of the tour fare due by the Client to the Company, must be paid no later than four weeks prior to the date of departure for all tours, otherwise the Company may treat the booking as being canceled by the Client. Late applicants may however join the tour on an "accommodation available" basis.

6. CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT

 For cancellation 30 days or less prior to departure, the following charges will apply:

  • 30 - 15 days - 50% of fare
  • 14 - 7 day - 75% of total fare
  • 7 - 0 days - 100% of total fare

If the client fails to join a tour, or joins it after departure, or leaves prior to its completion, no tour fare refund will be made, unless by prior agreement between the

Company and the Client, that only a portion of the tour is to be undertaken. The Client must state this in writing to the Company, at the time of booking, and this written request must accompany the Booking Form.

7. CANCELLATIONS BY THE COMPANY

The Company reserves the right in any circumstances to cancel the tour, and all tours shall be operated subject to a minimum of participants. In instances where the Company cannot provide the tour booked, the Company will return to the Client all monies paid, which shall constitute the full extent of the Company’s liability to the Client, or the Company may offer the Client an alternative holiday of comparable standard.

 8. ALTERATIONS

 Please note that the itineraries are flexible and will depend on local conditions. Participants should be aware that travelling in Africa is sometimes unpredictable.

9. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

 You will require a valid passport. Please check with us, you local consulate or travel agent as to visa, passport and health requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure that

your passport, visas, and vaccination certificates are all in order before departure. We

can not be held liable for any passenger being refused entry into a country for any reason whatsoever.

10. HEALTH

You must be in perfect health to undertake any safari. You will visit remote areas with little or no medical facilities.

11. INSURANCE

Comprehensive Travel Insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, medical, emergency travel and personal accident is compulsory on all tours arranged by The Company. The Client is aware that it is his responsibility to arrange adequate Insurance. The clients will effect personal insurance and be satisfied that their insurance fully covers their personal requirements.

12. LUGGAGE

Baggage on all tours will be limited to a maximum of 15 kgs.

13. SPENDING MONEY

Each trip will require differing amounts of spending money depending on the nature of the tour. Money is needed for meals as indicated, tips, curios, and optional excursions not included in the price.
